Established in 1987, the institution began its journey under the visionary leadership of Thiru S.K.R. Rajendran, a distinguished alumnus of Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ooty. With the blessings of Swami Chinmayananda, Chinmaya Garden School was founded to serve the educational needs of the local community. It is to be noted that it was the FIRST CBSE school of Erode, in the year 1987. After Thiru Rajendran’s sudden demise, his wife, Thirumathi Malathi Rajendran, successfully took the reins, holding his noble vision. She renamed the institution as Rajendran Matric Higher Secondary School and worked tirelessly to make it a reputed name among schools in Erode.

Responding to the rising demand for the CBSE curriculum, Rajendran Academy for Learning was established in 2019 by Mrs. Vidhya Chendhil, who serves as the Managing Director of Rajendran Institutions. She is a proud alumna of PSG College of Technology and an all-India gold medalist, with a B.Ed. from IGNOU. With over 30 years of experience in the field of education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the institution.
